Class Description

This is a daycare style training program where you drop your dog off each morning between 9 AM & 10 AM and pick your dog up between 4 & 5:00 PM for 8 days. During the first day with your dog the trainer will evaluate your dog to see where their skill level is at then work on the curriculum based off of your dog’s skill level. During the days your dog is in our care they will get regular potty and nap breaks.  At the end of each day there will be a small private training session to go over everything the dog has learned during that day. In Day Training we can cover all basic obedience, work on behavior problems, work on specific cues that would benefit you and much more! The goal with day training is we do the heavy lifting so you don't have to! Our schedule for Day Training is Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday for two weeks and we can start as soon as Monday!

This is a group basic obedience class designed for puppy’s under 6 months of age. In this we learn at least 10 basic obedience commands such as sit, down, and come. We also work on leash walking skills and common puppy issues like nipping and potty training. This is a six-class course with each class being 1 hour long. In each class you and your dog will learn how to do each command and then you will be given homework at the end of each class to practice everyday between classes! This class is designed to be in a group setting so there will likely be other dogs and pet parents in class with you!

This is group basic obedience designed for all dogs over 6 months of age. In this we learn at least 10 basic obedience commands such as sit, down and come. We also work on leash walking skills and common nuisance behaviors such as counter surfing and barking. This is six class course with each class being 1 hour-long. In each class you and your dog will learn how to do each command and then you will be given homework at the end of each class to practice everyday between classes! This class is designed to be in a group setting so there will likely be other dogs and pet parents in class with you!

This is a more challenging advanced group class so we do require you to take Preschool or Kindergarten before attending this class. This is a six-class course that works on more advanced commands such as heel and place. This class is designed for dogs with a basic understanding of obedience training and we will use commands already learned in Puppy Preschool or Kindergarten.

This group class is dedicated to prep for the AKC Canine Good Citizen Test. You are required to complete either a Preschool or Kindergarten class and a Highschool class or complete an evaluation with us before taking this class. This is a six-course class where we work on all the skills required to pass the Canine Good Citizen test. In the last class we will administer the test, after your test you are required to mail in your paper work to the AKC to receive your certification. This is the most advanced group class we offer at Proper Pups!

This class is a private class between the pet parent, pet and trainer. In private classes we can work on any commands or nuisance behaviors at the trainer’s discretion. This is a good option for those who only want to work on specific commands or dogs who won’t do well in a group environment with other dogs and pet parents.

This is a 60-90 minute group class to help set you and your puppy up for success. This is designed for puppies under 6 months old. During this time, we will talk about things like potty training, crate training, desensitization and much more! We do leave time at the end of this class for questions so make sure you bring them! Dogs are known to be much more likely to stay in their forever home if they have at least some basic training and we want these puppies to be with you forever!

This is a specialty group class. One of our basic classes is a prerequisite for taking this class. This is a 3-class course with each class being 1 hour long. In this class we will learn fun new tricks like bow and spin! This is a great class if you want to further your pups training but want to have some fun while doing it!

In this class we will work on learning how to use all of the different agility equipment like the jumps and weave poles. This Is a great option if you utilize our open play and want your dog to be able to use the agility equipment, if you want another way to be able to exercise and work your dog, or even just for fun!
